Hopefully a number of you took advantage of the fantastic Auckland weather this past weekend and made your way to the V8 Supercars at Pukekohe Park Raceway.
For those that did, and those that managed to catch the support class action on Sky Sport’s Pop Up Channel you may have noticed a few familiar names from our E30 and Open ranks within both the Toyota TR86 and SsangYong Ute fields.
Aaron Harris got off to a good start for the weekend in the SsangYong Actyon Ute Series however a broken gearbox ultimately put paid to his weekend.
And while Current E30 competitor Royce Rollinson was getting himself caught up in the mid-pack action, Royces’ brother Kieron went on to place 2nd overall for the round.
The Toyota 86’s featured 4 current / ex E30 competitors in Ash Blewett, Reid Harker, Callum Quinn and Alex Sherie.
Friday qualifying saw Ash, Reid and Cullum all within the top 4 placings.
While unfortunately both Reid and Alex fell victim to the unforgiving concrete barriers, Reid on the Saturday, and Alex on the Sunday, Ash Blewett went on the back up his Pole Position with all three Race Wins over the weekend.
